Today the clan headed down to "the boat club" that Nana and Papa belong to for a change of scenery. We got there right before noon and everyone brought something to eat for lunch. All the boys went out and grilled...well, scratch that...went out and watched Papa grill and us girls hung out inside the camper out of the heat. It began raining mid way through cooking so everyone came inside to eat.
After the we finished eating the rain subsided and it was nice out. Not to hot and no blazing sun which is great for kids skin. Austin went down to the bank of the river with the rest of the men in tow and went fishing. He did an awesome job and caught quite a few critters. While they were doing that we tried to get the girls to go down for a nap but they weren't having it at all. So, we decided to continue on with the day, suited the girls up to swim and headed out side. H1 had on her red swim suit and H2 had on her yellow one. Nana got them for them!
They had a fun time swimming and were splashing up a storm. Of course H2 kept trying to put her face under the water. That girls has no fear of the water at all. That can be both a good and a bad thing. After swimming for a bit it was time to go on our boat ride. Nana found the girls some life jackets so we suited up and got ready. They looked precious in their jackets! They reminded us of turtles because of the way their heads and arms stuck out. They did a good job with the jackets even thought they could barely move in them. It also just so happened that Ryan had on a shirt that matched H2's jacket and I had a on a shirt that matched H1's! We hoped in the boat with Papa and off we went. At first they didn't know what to think about it all and H1 got a little scared but Papa just pulled her under is arm and she was fine. They both kept their eyes closed most of the ride and for a minute I thought that H2 had fallen asleep. We rode down the river to a bend and turned around. It was a short trip but the perfect amount of time for first time riders like themselves. Once they got out of the boat they started talking up a storm. It was thought they were sitting there telling everyone what they just did! After we got out it was Austin's turn so he jumped in with Uncle R and Papa.

Hailey's face is too cute in the one where Ryan is holding her. She looks like she's not too sure about this lifejacket! Haha! Glad they had fun!
Oh those side-by-side cuties in their lifejackets are too adorable! Looks like a great, great time...don't blame you for not wanting to leave.
Must say, I like Nana's taste in swimsuits too!
OMG I cannot believe they went boat riding! That is so exciting. I cannot wait for Elizabeth to go on our boat!! I wish she could this summer.

I have yet to get my girls in water of any kind (except in the bath of course). :-( Perhaps this weekend.
