Yesterday we went down to the pool at Doodle's for the first time this year. Of course, the girls didn't remember going last year, but I was excited to see if they would act the same way. Last year they got incredibly excited and would keep trying to put their faces in the water and be independent. This year; not so much!
As soon as I picked them up to head down the steps they both started screaming bloody murder. Then, when they finally felt the water (which I'll admit isn't half as warm as we would have preferred) the screaming got worse. Butterfly finally calmed down for a bit when she got in her raft but Ladybug never slowed down except when I would splash or do something silly. Then she would laugh for a minute, realize she was still in the water, then proceed to scream some more. All-in-all our pool trip lasted a whole 15 minutes. They honestly enjoyed sitting in the pool chair over getting in the water. Ha! I think they have to get re-aquainted with the whole idea.
