Spring Project
Today we planted some seeds and learned about how dirt, water, sun and seeds turn into the pretty flowers we love so much!
They each got to put a seed into their side of the planter. Butterfly helped make the holes for the seeds while Ladybug helped fill the cups with dirt.

Day At The Park
There is a small park close-ish from our house. We'd never been there and I thought it would be a good idea to go check it out and see what we'd been missing. There was a decent sized lake with quite a few ducks and an absolute ton of turtles! There were so many turtles in fact that I saw multiple duck versus turtle run-ins in the water.

St. Patrick's Day
We want to wish you all a Happy St. Patty's Day!
Today we did a fun craft where we colored lucky four leaf clovers for Mommy, Daddy and our grandparents. We had a lot of fun and even added some stickers! We had a difficult time with the stickers at first because they kept sticking to our fingers but we eventually got the hang of it.
After craft time we went out with Mommy and Grandpa to look for wild flowers. We found so many colors and we had to sniff them all! There was a lot of sneezing after that. Ha!
All in all it was a great day!
Caterpillar
We saw our very first caterpillar today and it did not go quite how I had planned. It was crawling up the walk as we were getting out of the car from running errands. Both girls were standing there as I picked it up to show it to them. As soon as Butterfly saw it she started screaming bloody murder! I've never seen her so scared before. She turned and ran in the other direction and hid behind the car. Cause, Lord knows those caterpillars are dangerous!! Ladybug, of course, completely ignored her and was just standing there staring at it in awe. She never tried to touch it but I know she thought about. I couldn't help but laugh. My girly-girl and my tomboy on action.
New Do
May I introduce Ms. Ladybug and the girls new hairstyle!!! I'm so happy I was able to find hair bands small enough for their thin hair and that it's finally long enough to put up.
I'd been getting the "they need a haircut to get that hair outta their eyes" for awhile now and Butterfly even got an unauthorized trim from Papa (haha!) but I stood my ground and it's paid off. There hair grows pretty quickly and it's finally to the point it can be put up. I am largely against bangs and having been forced to have them up until high school I was not about to put them on my girls! I think the ponytail looks adorable and I'm excited for it to keep on growing. Another plus is that since the bands are relatively clear they don't try to pull them out if each others hair...which is always good.

Little Musicians
We are definately lovers of music around here (we get that from our Nana!) Any music that comes on instantly gets danced to and anything that makes sounds that are remotely musical get played with.

Feeding The Fish
Spring has sprung and we've been spending a ton of time outside. The fish in the pond have spawned and are very active. We pulled out the fish food (aka: dog food) and let the girls feed the fish. They had a so much fun and laughed at the fish when they got really close to the edge to get the food. We were out there for a good hour and will be heading out more often.
We only had one incident of baby trying to eat fish food. Luckily it was only a quick lick. Then it got thrown into the pond. I don't know if fish enjoy prelicked food. Something to contemplate...

Checking out the Horses
Ladybug is a huge horse fan! Our neighbors have two horses and we go on walks to see them on occasion. Butterfly never tries to get close but Ladybug does and I have to hold back from running over and trying to climb up the horses leg!

1st Puzzle
This morning Butterfly put their ballerina bear puzzle together all by herself! She was so proud as was I. Of course a few bears ended up upside down but she matched all of her colors perfectly.
